change!

So i decided to change my blog because i ran out of things to write about. so now this is going to be a blog about just things i want to write about.

WARNING:there might be a lot of ranting on this. Because i like to rant.

But i also plan on this being somewhat of a review blog (i express my opinion on movies, books, music, etc.), and possibly a Photo blog once i get a better camera.... alright. I'm done. Bye!!!!

p.s., there might be a chance of some short stories that i write to get on here so just watch out.....

Radio

Have you ever turned on the radio, and then ten seconds later, either changed the station or turned it off because you hated the song that was on? Why did you hate the song? was it bad lyrics? Was it a singer who just should have never even attempted, but is still famous anyway? Or was it just because the song was just plain boring?
So What would happen if the world had only music you liked? what would the radios be playing, the elevator music sound like, and what would you have on your iPod?
That utopian world doesn't exist. However, the radio we have right now in my opinion, is basically poop on toast. When they say 'todays best music' really they mean 'the music that is going to pay the best today.' which could mean there is a song with lesser creativity and thought than dirt. I personally think that the lyrics, singer, and production should be able to make you feel something. I thought that was the whole point of music to make you feel something. Well just in case you haven't noticed, a song with the lyrics 'oh my gosh' about a million times sung half heartedly is basically the worst waist of song I have ever heard. Another example is a song that has so many cus words, the bleep-out parts become a beat. Wow. Aren't you just the greatest lyricist ever. I don't care if you are the most famous, talented singer out there. if your lyrics cant get past a five word phrase, it's crap. I don't care if its number one on iTunes either; it shouldn't be. Well to end this rant, I am just going to say one last thing: The sight Pandora.com is a wonderful solution to all of this. :)

Just a thought.

I have been listening to an interesting song lately. its called Uprising, and its by my favorite band, MUSE.
There are some lyrics in there that go like this:

They'll try to push drugs that keep us all dumbed down,
And hope that we will never see the truth around.
Another promise, another scene,
another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed
and all the green belts wrapped around our minds,
and endless red tape to keep the truth confined.

And i was just thinking about it. they are really quite interesting. I intemperate it as the government is trying to hide something important, so to hide it they keep us occupied with things we don't need, news that isn't really important, and all the things that come with that.

It makes you think doesn't it.
What do they have to hide?
