Farmer's Markets

Have you ever been to one of these? Ever seen one going on, but drove past thinking, oh, some day I'll go.
I used to be just like you; until I experienced my very first one.
The food is amazing. The art is inspiring, and most of all, the people are the most interesting. As you can see from the picture, that is indeed a carved watermelon. There was this awesome lady who just does stuff like that. (I mean, I would have no idea what to do with it, but honestly. Its awesome.) You get everything from fortune tellers, to duct tape items makers, to 5 year old violin players. the experience is pretty fun, and very educating. Go visit your local Farmer's Market!

Emperor's New Groove

So this is another adventure I had on vacation. This is the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver. If your fear is one of high places, this might not quite be your thing. But, if you are one of those awesome, risky, adventures types, this would be your deal. Let me paint a picture for you. There is this suspended bridge in between two mountains. About 100 yards below is a shallow river with sharp rocks. Have you ever seen Emperor's New Groove? Thats basically it. But you know if you just happen to be one of those lame scardy- cats, there's an aquarium somewhere.

Underground Seattle

If you like creepy things, which the best people do, this is an awesome place to go. That picture right there is actually part of the Underground Seattle. The story is super weird and has stuff to do with toilets and the tide, but in the end what i got out of it was that Seattle is built on top of a frozen in time, vintage city. Everything from the tea cups to the wall paper is still there, granted there is a little fire damage... and granted there is a ghost... but who said those were bad things?

The Museum of Glass

The picture you see is one I took on my latest vacation. I was in the grad city of Tacoma WA, and stopped by this place called The Museum of Glass, which is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You get to actually see and observe the proses of Glass blowing, and its just pure interesting insanity. This right here is one of their pieces of art on the ceiling of an arch just outside of the museum. It's on a bridge that goes over a street, and connects with the State of Washington Museum. I must say though, the work is fascinating, and the art is spectacular. I highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance.

Chips

Alrighty. so I have been gone for a while... I'm sorry.
So for the past two weeks I have been on vacation. it was pretty awesome... accept for the chips.
Now, when you get a bag of chips, you expect it to be pretty full, you know; at least enough chips to fill the bag minus some for packaging. However, over the years for some reason, chip baggers have decided to deny us all of our good ol' American love of potato chips in a waisted effort to get rid of the over weight crap, by skimping on the chip count in the chip bag. Now, they may deny this. they may say that there has always been the same amount of potato lovelies in the bag. I can prove this false.
FACT: on the fantastic occasion that I purchased a bag of chips, there were, i kid you not, 14 chips in the bag.I counted. 14. and half of them weren't even full sized.
Was I mad?
Of course i was. I don't care how fat our country is. The FABULOUS health care plan does not imply that potato chips are out! (although i wouldn't be surprised) No.
I have a dream... that all bags of chips are created with generous amounts of chips, and that all bags are equal! I have a dream! that this land is your land, and this land is my land, but this land is also the potato chips' land. Come on! Land of the free! Home of the POTATOES!!! four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation... FULL OF POTATO CHIPS!!!

..... so i guess my point is that, potato chips are dying, and its our job to make sure that we fight for what we believe in: the great and noble chip.
