The future.

As my official first blog post (that isn't an intro) I would like to bring to the table something that everyone thinks about; the future.
Everything from books, to movies and TV shows each have their own opinions on this subject; most of them being that blissful electronic world. They envision flying cars, time machines, alien invasions, instant food, and everything in between. Life looks pretty good right?
Now, I don't want to come across as a pessimistic loser. I'm just saying that if we think that that is where we are headed, we are way in and over our heads. If we think that bombing the entire world out, enlarging prisons, starting wars, hating our fellow human beings is getting us just that much closer to that shiny future, there is something to be said about education in the world.
I do understand that there are some stinker pots out there. That includes the following: Fidel, Osama, Joseph Kony, and all of the AWESOME people that follow in their path. (Child soldiers, Alquida, and the Castro clones) If you were to put a definition on the phrase 'fun sucker' you would include all of the above. They all have one thing in common: they sacrifice the sanity and safety of the humanity of all the people around them. Through brain wash, and a lot of lying, they eventually get what they want, which is power, and money.
In my opinion, all of these obstacles could be over come. But it will never be so, if we keep on doing what we are doing. That is sitting around, wrapped up in a snuggie, digging for the remote, wondering who got the Grammies; while power and money hungry leaders try to fix our problems. It's a really not good system!
And then you have all of the decent people who are intelligent, and who would become excellent leaders. But they see the world that they would have to deal with, and they choose not to because its so messed up!
I bet you that there is more than one Muslim person out there who thinks that the whole Palestinian/Israeli conflict is stupid.
I bet there is more than one person on Alquida that doesn't want to be involved in the 'jihad' to destroy basically every American that has ever lived.
I bet you Every child soldier under the influence of Joseph didn't want to be there in the first place.
I hope there is a few members of the Janjaweed that don't want to burn thousands of homes full of innocent people.
I bet there are a few Castro clones that are just praying that we put and end to Castro himself so they can be free.
Humanity still exists. just not in the eyes of the corrupt.
In conclusion to this, my guess would be that eventually, if we keep on doing what we are doing, we will eventually kill ourselves off. There will be no flying cars. There will be no time machines. there will be only the memory of us in the dust of our consequences. By doing nothing, we are only punishing ourselves, and the people that follow us.
I'm not saying that we should go out and hunt down every corrupt leader. There are easy ways to make people think (like maybe a simple letter or even e-mail), which is the start of all great revolutions. But I think that we have lead ourselves so far into the hole, that we are going to need something bigger than a revolution. We are going to need a total and complete transformation of the way some people think. Because right now, there are people who think that their god said you should be dead right now simply because you are one of those 'western Imperialists'. If that doesn't sound messed up, Darth Vator is actually MY father.
Well I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but when it comes to plain humanity, sometimes you just have to wonder.
