huh... huh.. awkward. Dance!

So it's been a week since i last posted, and I have nothing to feel sorry for. did you miss me? don't answer that.

So what I'm going to bring up today is something we all experience every day. Awkward situations with the public. Now, if your a bright and bubbly person who has excellent social skills, and your not afraid to just go up to people and say hi, I envy you. About a fourth of the pain in my life comes from awkward situations with people, and I'm sure the rest of us could agree... at least... I hope I'm not the only one... but I might be... thats awkward.....

WELL. Take for instance the classic elevator situation. you step on to the elevator with a stranger, and you both immediately go the the far corners of the elevator. What are you thinking to your self? please don't talk to me. please don't talk to me. crap. "Hey. ya. just going to the forth floor. cafeteria. Yup. Gotta get some food, you know how it is. Ah gotta go? Well see ya around. Whew. glad thats over with. Oh! please don't get on the elevator. no! wait... isn't she my brothers ex? double awkward. shoot me.

A cure for this disease of awkwardness we have brought upon society may be unattainable. Whatever happened to the good old days when it wasn't weird to talk to people? where no one had iPods to shove in their ears, or cell phones to pretend to text on? Personally, about 25% of the time my phone is out, I'm not doing anything with it.

But seriously. We need to come up with a solution. How about in every awkward situation, weather it be on a bus, elevator, hall way, or library, do a little dance. Don't think about it. Have fun. If they join in, all the better. Do your favorite dance. Robot it up! Who knows. Maybe some day in the future, this will cause a global dance party, which will cause important people to get really confused, which will cause everything to reverse, which will cause a turn around on world turmoil, which will cause world peace. Your welcome, planet earth.
